Withdrawal Policy for the Journal of Management & Social Science

1. Introduction

The Journal of Management & Social Science ("JMSS") recognizes that authors may need to withdraw their submissions for various reasons. This policy outlines the conditions and procedures for manuscript withdrawal after submission to JMSS.

2. Withdrawal Stages and Fees

  • Within 48 hours of submission: Authors may withdraw their manuscript without any fees or penalty.
  • After 48 hours of submission but before peer review: Authors may withdraw their manuscript with a nominal fee of [amount] to cover administrative costs.
  • During peer review or after acceptance: Withdrawal is discouraged during these stages as it disrupts the editorial process and affects reviewers' time. However, exceptional circumstances may be considered. Authors must provide a clear justification for withdrawal and pay a withdrawal fee of [amount] to cover review-related costs.
  • After publication: Withdrawal is generally not possible after publication due to the finality of the published record. However, in rare cases of ethical concerns or factual errors, JMSS may consider retraction upon consultation with the authors and editorial board.

3. Procedure for Withdrawal

To withdraw a manuscript, the corresponding author must submit a formal request to the JMSS editorial office via email ([email protected]) stating the reason for withdrawal and the stage of the manuscript in the review process.

  • If the withdrawal request is approved, the editorial office will confirm the applicable fee and provide payment instructions.
  • Once the fee is paid (if applicable), the manuscript will be removed from the review process or publication queue.
  • The author(s) will receive a confirmation email acknowledging the withdrawal.

4. Important Notes

  • This policy applies to all types of manuscripts submitted to JMSS, including research articles, review articles, case studies, and book reviews.
  • Withdrawal of a manuscript does not guarantee its acceptance for publication in any future submissions to JMSS.
  • JMSS reserves the right to modify this policy at any time without prior notice.
